I have read in the name of the Vilna Gaon that the 10 plagues were corresponding to the 10 sayings God used to create the world (dont know the exact source). Thus the slaying of the first born corresponded to "In the beginning..", and the plague of darkness corresponded to the creation of light. Does anyone know the connection to the other plagues?

Correct me if i'm worng but I think its corresponding to Ten Commandments and thos corresponding to the 10 sayings God used to create the world, so the 10 plagues were corresponding to the 10 sayings God used to create the world.– Moshe DCommented Apr 2, 2017 at 7:12

I have also heard, (I thought it was HaRav Shimshon Raphael Hirsch) on the verse שבת וינפש, but I dont remember the exact source that with the 10 utterances Hashem gradually removed Himself (His Presence) from the world until וינפש complete removal, and with the 10 plagues He gradually reintroduced Himself back into the world with the formation of the nation of Israel. If you find the source for this, please let us all know... I only found this now because I had a personal need to explain how the process of "evolution" has an active phase where new species are formed, and a passive phase where no new species are formed.

Welcom to MiYodeya. This is somewhere between an answer and a comment because you do not know the source. Hopefully you or someone else will locate it.– Edward BCommented Sep 9 at 6:46
