The word he uses is t'valul, whereas another of the mumin (I forget which now) is usually translated 'cataract'. 'T'valul' in Lev. is something else, though unclear what. Otoh, 't'valul' in modern Hebrew is 'cataract', and maybe TT meant that. I'm unsure, hence this edit.
