Questions pertaining to the biblical book of Ezra and Nehemiah.
According to Jewish tradition, Ezra and Nehemiah, texts now sometimes thought to be separate, are really one book from the Ketuvim (כותבים - Writings) section of the Jewish Tanach. The book describes in detail some key events in the process of the return of the Jews to the Land of Israel after the Babylonian Exile and their subsequent attempts to rebuild the Temple and set up a Torah-abiding government, as well as their dealings with sometimes hostile neighbors such as the Samaritans, Arabs and Ammonites.
