I was reading about Yom Kippur, and I came across this in a translation of the traditional recitation of the Kol Nidre: >"By the authority of the Court on High and by authority of the court down here, by the permission of One Who Is Everywhere and by the permission of this congregation, **we hold it lawful to pray with sinners**." Isn't everyone a sinner? If so, doesn't this mean that whenever you pray with other people, you are praying with sinners? Is it not lawful to pray with sinners at other times?
