I am going to be visit the Gettysburg battlefield soon. I am also of kohen status. What is the halakha related to this? Is there any issue with potential unburied individuals beneath soil? Does one become tamei from gentile bodies? Can you go to cemeteries of gentiles? Does the potential chance of there being a Jewish body (Jews fought in the battle in small numbers) render it forbidden?
