https://youtube.com/shorts/RuNO7R0885c?si=Fwc-02_yqnv-LfDi in this, rabbi Asher Meza of “Torah Judaism international” seems to claim that proselytization is not only allowed, but even a good thing to do. Now I understand that conversions should be welcoming and converts should be treated kindly and with respect, but Deutoronomy 32:8-9 seems to indicate that there is a difference between inheritance of Israel and the nations (which I understand to be referring to the torah commandments). Where does he get this Heter for? Especially since from what I understand non Jews who follow the 7 noahide laws have a share in Olam Habah.

  • It all seems a bit strange. Other articles about Asher Meza also seem peculiar. Related question about the same man's ideas: judaism.stackexchange.com/questions/17635/…

  • Apparently this guy is pro-Christian proselytizing to Jews also. Avoid him like the plague. See here: youtube.com/watch?v=l298_AMjdi0&t=149s

  • What kind of proselytization? Like walking up to a stranger on the street or in a parking lot and asking “Have you found Moses?” Commented Nov 17, 2023 at 19:44
  • My Rosh Yeshiva said that actually, there is an inyan of proselytizing non-Jews, but the reason we do not do it is because we have to focus on kiruv first. He gave the "if your house and your neighbors house are burning, you rescue the people in your own house first" mashal. I don't know his source, and if he meant for conversion or for noahidism.

There’s nothing in Halacha that I know of that says you can’t proselytize to non Jews.

He’s basically someone who’s big on converting by the book versus traditions and under certain organizations that claim they can nullify conversions or ban them for political reasons.

He’s very unpopular because he doesn't see the modern Rabbi as having the same authority as those in the Torah who sat on the court.
