How can one discern whether a Chabad shul is Meshichist?

  • A lot of them will have mashichist pamphlets on the table, and stuff that refers to the Rebbe as Shlit"a.

From what I have observed some will have the famous psak din declaring the Rebba as Mashiach hung up in the shul.

Picture of psak din declaring the Rebba as Mashiach and making obligatory for everyone to accept:

  • This list is very useful to know whose הכשר to avoid and whose wine not to drink

  • You really believe that if one believes someone is mashiach and are wrong that counts as kefirah? It's a mistaken belief, see Rav Henkin in Bnai Banim . Disclaimer : I am not lubavitch

  • Absolutely. It is akin to Christianity. See letter (and article in his book) from Rav Ahron Feldman שליט"א that their belief is a הכחשה באחד מי"ג עקרי אמונה. I can't see a way how to append it here.

If they have a sign saying “yechi” or encourage it being said. Sometimes it will be on the cover of the Aron.

The yellow moshiach flag is often proudly on display at such shuls
