Good morning to all, Would you know if Tériel or Tariel has any meaning in Hebrew/Ancient Hebrew/Aramaic/Akkadian? And if there is any mythology attached to it? Maybe from the Zohar or Kabbalah as someone suggested to me but I'm not familiar with the Zohar so not sure where to start or look for the Tériel/Tariel. Would you know any Giant/Nephilim legends? Because the Torah does not say much about those.

Not every angel whose name ends in -el comes from Jewish tradition. Where did you see this name originally that makes you question if it’s Jewish in origin? – DonielF Aug 10 '20 at 16:33
  • See also Ariel, Uriel, and Turiel. – Lucian Aug 10 '20 at 21:15

  • Thank you @DonielF for your comment. Indeed I am not sure at all if it is Canaanite/Jewish/or Berber in origin. Thats what I am trying to figure out. Im investigating the origin of the legend of the Tériel/Tariel. Its a berber legend from some northern african tribes. Im not sure if this legend belong to the berber culture or if its a canaanite influence or elsewhere. – katia Aug 21 '20 at 12:24
