Has ancient or medieval Jewish tradition, spanning from the Talmud to the Shulchan Aruch, ever connected these two passages from the Book of Daniel ?

Daniel 5:30-6:1  That very night, Belshazzar, the Chaldean king, was killed, and Darius the Mede received the kingdom, being about sixty-two years old.

Daniel 9:26  And after those sixty-two weeks, the anointed one will disappear and vanish.

  • In any case, a week is 7 years there. – David Kenner Mar 4 '19 at 2:24
  • @DavidKenner: Correct, but they are still 62 time-units, and, in both cases, their end marks the death of an anointed ruler. – Lucian Mar 5 '19 at 3:51
