Mezuza is a Mitzva min Hatorah which dictates that any Scroll that is not ONE Parchment cannot substitute a Mezuza as a Doorpost has to have a SIngle parchment with Shema and Vehaya. A Mikvah is Pasul for Netilat Yadayim and a washing cup is Pasul as a Mikvah, but you can fulfill your obligation before bread with either. | |
