Dec 13, 2017 at 17:11 comment added Double AA @paquda Seems like you left a lot of info out of the question which explains why your answers are so poor at addressing the issue you had. A lesson for next time in how to ask a question...
Dec 13, 2017 at 17:09 comment added paquda @DoubleAA, the source doesn't discuss single people living alone, just the issue of a requirement of pirsumei nisa in order to make a brakhah. Trying to extrapolate based on that requirement seemed to lead to something that goes against what I think from experience people commonly do, which is why I had a question.
Dec 12, 2017 at 21:48 comment added Double AA @paquda It's factually incorrect that an apartment typically does not have doors (or even usually windows) that open to a public space. But yes, I agree that such a hypothetical location would seemingly be equivalent to a time after the market has quieted down. In which case you already have your source and your answer. What are you still looking for?
Dec 12, 2017 at 21:47 comment added paquda @DoubleAA, I assumed that in an apartment, which typically cannot have windows or doors opening out to pedestrian thoroughfares, the situation is equivalent to the time after pedestrians have ceased from the market.
Dec 12, 2017 at 21:34 comment added Double AA @paquda that's talking about after the market has quieted down. You were asking before that no?
Dec 12, 2017 at 21:13 comment added paquda See a few pages later on Mishnah Brurah 627: 11 -- כל הלילה - עד עמוד השחר ובברכה והיינו דוקא אם בני הבית נעורים אבל אם ישנים אין לברך עליהם אלא ידליק בלא ברכה דכמו דלדידהו לא היה מברך אלא בזמן פרסום הנס ה"נ לדידן. ואם בא לביתו קודם עה"ש ומצא ב"ב ישנים מן הנכון שיקיצם כדי שיוכל להדליק בברכה
