Nov 26, 2015 at 5:02 comment added sabbahillel @ClintEastwood I added a pointer to a an article from the Jewish Virtual Library on the general subject, but it does not have any reference to the Talmud
Nov 26, 2015 at 4:47 comment added sabbahillel @ClintEastwood the question was the involvement with Mohammed. Islam arose during the gaonic period (after the close of the Talmud) which is a different matter. The Jews of Arabia and the Arabs during the time of the gemoro would be a different question and one that I do not deal with. There is, for example, a site thejc.com/judaism/judaism-book-extracts/115805/… which talks about the influence during the time of the geonim, but again that is a different question.
Nov 26, 2015 at 1:37 comment added Clint Eastwood Although there is a gap of 80 years between the close of the Gemara and Mohammed's birth, if the Gemara contains reference to Jews in Arabia, that would still be relevant.

Nov 26, 2015 at 1:16 comment added Yoel Fievel Ben Avram It's still possible that the talmud could have mentioned the communities existing there before the time of Muhammad.
