Although it does so happen that in spite of it there are poskim who navigate independently of Rama but you are right that even more Rishonim based poskim still attach more weight to Rama than to 19th century poskim. I suppose I misremembered sources obligating them in the seudah. | |

Perhaps the silence of the earlier authorities is telling in the matter. Furthermore, Brisk style poskim dont really worry too much about these poskim, focusing instead primarily on the Rishonim. | |
