How does judaismJudaism reconcile the prohibition against moabitesMoabites/amonitesAmmonites joining the congreration and their kingroyal lineage?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Naamah_%28wife_of_Solomon%29#cite_note-3

Wikipedia says that Naamah, wife of Solomon is, was an AmoniteAmmonite. That is the mom of Rehabeam. King of Judah.

Ruth is a Moabite. That is one ancestor of David.

Okay, so jewsJews have these prohibition against marrying foreign women. Moreover, certain nations, such as the amonites, the moabites,Ammonites and the amalekitesMoabites (as opposed to, say, the chineseChinese?) seem to be super prohibited in that Hashem prohibitprohibited them specifically.

http://biblehub.com/deuteronomy/23-3.htmDeuteronomy 23:4 says

NoAn Ammonite or a Moabite or any of their descendants mayshall not enter into the assembly assembly of the LORD, notLORD; even into the tenth generation. shall none of them enter into the assembly of the LORD for ever

I couldn't find prohibition against amalekites being prohibited from marrying israelites. It seems that Israelites were supposed to slaughter so marrying them is out of the question. Or slaughtering is the way to go but marrying them is okay or something. But that's not the point of this question.

Okay, so we got Moabitesa Moabite, Ruth. We got Naamah the AmonitesAmmonite. Not only they join Hashem's congregation. They became, king and queen.

Even in US, that's not instituted based on racism, it took quite a while before a black guy can become supreme court justice, and it's still cause quite an uproar. Yet it seems that there is no issue with descendant of moabitesMoabites and amonitesAmmonites getting a supreme seat in Israel.

So how'swhat's the story?
