We find many derashot that are ungrammatical, so quoting a Midrash to prove the presence of a daggesh or its absence would be fairly silly. Furthermore, where does Rashi ever engage in Massoretic issues, and even if he did, that wouldn't really relate to the OP's assumptions about Rashi coming to explain peshat. | |
