I suppose I wasn't exactly expecting that, but the pointer to MAM's detailed tables is still very useful to me. The last parashah I prepared included a vocalization difference between Leningrad and most Tiberian manuscripts, which also puzzled me for a while until I was able to track it down. Admittedly the practical answer is probably going to be "find out what the gabbai is likely to have in front of them", but that's less good for my curiosity! | |

Trying to trace where the variant started would be. The question sought "the source of these particular variations" and you are just showing some random later printing which is almost surely not THE source of this variant. | |

You might want to suggest that to them as they are very open to input (though typically a small number of people in their edit history so any sweeping changes might not occur so soon).
