Nov 26, 2012 at 1:53 comment added MichaelS I think haShem has the final word as always, so if Torah observant people from one generation to another keep Shabbat on some day, even if there were 'accidental' mistakes during the ages, G'd himself made us error-prone, so it is his will if a shift occurred, since our task is to keep his Torah and not to be error-less in calculations like computers.

Note also that in the United States many people consider Sunday the last day of the week and Monday the first.
