Aug 30 at 12:45 | comment | added | Samid | AFAIK, Jews reject Jesus as divine as well as the immaculate conception. Thus, the only logical explanation (by Jews) remaining for Mary is that she must be an adulteress and Jesus a illegitimate son. I've heard this reasoning in person by some Jewish people, and many times in media.

At best, Mary had relations with a Roman soldier, because how else do we Jews explain the virgin birth? It shouldn't matter to you, because under Jewish law, Jesus would still be a Jew, good enough.

Feb 24, 2021 at 7:12 | comment | added | Harel13 | @TheGRAPKE I know of one other claimed mention of Mary, which is Yerushalmi Sanhedrin 29a where it says: "וחמא למרים בת עלי בצלים תלייא בחיטי ביזיא" - but the interpretation is debated. Those that wish to see this as a reference to Mary will say that it should be interpreted as "Miriam, daughter of Heli (a reference to the gospels' genealogies of Jesus) is in the shadows and hanging from the hinge of the entrance of gehinom." Those that don't interpret it as Mary, read it as:

Feb 24, 2021 at 4:55 | comment | added | The GRAPKE | There is nothing about Mary in the Talmud, possibly this is a mysterious reference, but it is very obtuse. sefaria.org/Chagigah.4b.11?lang=bi&with=all&lang2=en מִרְיָם מְגַדְּלָא = מָרִיָה מַגדָלֶנָה

Feb 23, 2021 at 22:28 | comment | added | curiousdannii | As a Christian whose heard a lot of weird Christian beliefs, this is one I've never heard of... so I suspect it's not as widespread as you think. At least for the first one. Mary being a prostitute or having some other suspicious source of the conception is something I've heard before.
