May 4, 2023 at 5:48 | comment | added | Kehas Makovsky | See number 9 on shemayisrael.com/parsha/maimon/toldosa.pdf Some things that it says openly in the Chumash is that he asked Yaakov to stuff him [like a camel -Rashi] with red stuff, a very course way of talking and acting. He was mevaze the bechorah. He hated Yaakov and wanted to kill him. His wives were bad. 26;35
May 4, 2023 at 5:32 | comment | added | Kehas Makovsky | It's a bit offensive to say on Mi Yodeya that you are only happy with verses in Scripture. Why are you on Mi Yodeya? Maybe just learn Scripture and that's it. See Bereishis 25;29 with the Targum Yonason Ben uziel.

May 23, 2022 at 21:43 | comment | added | ShipBuilding | From what I have learned, the resting place of Esau's head, after being beheaded, may be relevant to this question, but I could be mistaken as well. Just putting this as a comment because I am unable to give a good sourced answer to the question.

Jan 12, 2021 at 9:27 | comment | added | Shalom | Seems a little odd: look at their father's funeral. Avraham is buried by "Yitzchak and Yishmael" -- i.e. Yishmael has come to accept Yitzchak's primacy. Whereas Yitzchak is buried by "Esav and Yaakov" -- Esav still pushing to the front of the line. (Well maybe he improved after that point ...)

Dec 10, 2020 at 20:10 | comment | added | robev | A quick search on Otzar HaChochmah brought nothing. As I mentioned in the other comment, the editor of the Mossad HaRav Kook Chizkuni isn't aware of a source.
