comment Is one allowed to smoke Marijuana?
I don't see how this is a proof that marijuana is allowed. There can be many benefits to a variety of items that are forbidden. Perhaps you should bring a source for your assertion.

But weren't/aren't there many gedolim who don't move to EY (e.g. R' Moshe Feinstein)? As well as the many who visit and then return to chutz la'aretz (e.g. R' JB Soloveitchik)? What does "actively work[ing] towards fulfilling the mitzvah of living in the Holy Land", mean?

Perhaps it would be a good idea to provide a general summary here.

comment How does a person who has left Judaism return?
I'm rather uncomfortable with the gerut tag as well as calling them a convert. Being that a Jew can never really convert, perhaps this should be rephrased.

comment How Is It That Rabbis Have Copies of Their Own Responsa?
@ShmuelBrill. Ok, so I spoke to him just now, he said that indeed Rabbi Dr. Mindel took dictation in shorthand and then typed it up in duplicate. Apparently though, he did not use carbon paper, but rather some other method of duplication.

comment Is there a Kabbalistic source for not walking with one's hands behind one's back?
@Menachem True, but this is the oldest definite source I've seen. (I tried to follow that Shaar Ruach Hakodesh source but couldn't find anything definite). In addition it is the earliest story I know of in which a Torah personality is machmir in this. That being said, you're right, the Ben Ish Chai himself does say he's not the original source.

To the best of my knowledge, the SE API does not yet support authentication and won't for some time. In english, that means that you can't write an app for SE that allows you to log in.
