Don't you need a Sanhedrin to be mekadesh the chodesh?

comment Why is Judaism not Racism?
Judaism views all Jews as being part of the same "family." Therefore, there is an attitude (and some halachos - Jewish laws) of giving extra consideration to one's fellow Jew. Family first. This does NOT mean that non-Jews may be harmed, wronged, or taken advantage of in any way. Rebbetzin HaQoton

comment Interracial marriages : Has anyone ever forbid it?
If they were not Jewish, then it is a completely different story and everyone would agree that a Jewish person is not allowed to marry a non-Jewish person.

There is no problem of them marrying in such a case. Why would you think otherwise?

You can't learn these halachos from a book and then teach it. You have to learn it from a PERSON who will teach it according to their Mesorah. There are a lot of things even in the Mishna Berurah which are not followed nowadays as exactly written, especially in these sensitive areas of halacha.

comment Question about a 'Jewish proverb'
Just to clarify, a sin done multiple times is not OK! The sinner just feels like it's OK. They get used to it. It becomes "who they are." They think to themselves Oh, X religious obligation? I don't do that. An examples of this is somebody who says "I'm not shomer (negiah)"as if that gives them permission to do whatever they want. Or "I don't have to make a point of making Asher Yatzar, I don't do that." Why not? I just don't. Hmm...that's not a very good reason! -Rebbetzin HaQoton

comment Is laying with a woman during her separation worthy of death or just uncleanness?
And there is no death penalty, only a punishment of being "cut off" which is spiritual excommunication, see en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kareth

comment Minimum Number of Days before Hefsek Tahara: Sephardi vs. Ashkenazi
Well that's what it says in Shiurei Shevet HaLevi on pg. 297 second paragraph. I will try to speak to my Yemenite friends and ask them if this is true. They don't ALWAYS go with the Rambam.

I assume that it would be as a zecher to the halacha min hatorah of a niddah being tmeah a flat rate of seven days after which she could go to the mikva, so they make her wait seven days after which she could begin the process of counting seven clean days to go to the mikva (see Taz YD 196:6 for a similar custom)
