comment Is it permissible to write the English/secular date?
Dionysius Exiguus's calculations leading to the Common Era was supposed to be based on the birth of Jesus, but probably missed by a few years

comment Our Father who art in heaven
I have a vague recollection of the Chief Rabbi of Cape Town saying this at a civic event in the mid-1970s. But I was young and it was a long time ago, so my memory may have misled me.

comment What are the months of Jewish civil and religious calendar?
The common calendar is pagan Roman in origin, in particular its months, with a minor 16th century CE technical adjustment because it was slowly drifting against the seasons. The fact that Gregory XIII tried to use religious authority to achieve the minor change probably delayed its general acceptance, for example until the 20th century in Russia.

comment December 25 Greetings
The 4th century CE seems a more historical time for the introduction of the December 25 feast day.

comment Was R. Gamliel really a great rabbi in Jewish estimation?
"A Pharisee named Gamaliel, a teacher of the law, who was honoured by all the people" (Acts 5:34) is not the same as "the greatest rabbi of all time".

comment Did Achashverosh rule over the entire Old World?
Historically, Nebuchadnezzar's Babylonian empire did not extend over Anatolia, Egypt or Persia (which is how Cyrus managed to conquer Babylon a couple of decades later).

Sha'ul/Paul would be a far more credible candidate for such a role

comment Is Christianity Avodah Zara?
Even saying "three distinct beings" may not be an accurate description of Christian belief. Most Christians accept the Nicene Creed which in its original Greek said ὁμοούσιον ("of one being"), though this caused later issues as there is no present participle of to be in Latin and the use of consubstantialem led to new debates.
