Firstly, there is the halacha that if you do not know what day it is, you keep Shabbat on the 7th day from the last time you kept shabbat. Only for Kiddush, not for Melacha. One has to avoid Melacha every day as it's a Safek DeOraisa

@UlrikheLukoie One must dress as he would go in front of a king. In America (and Europe, Israel), one would put on shoes if one wants to show respect
