This text box is a place where I am supposed to put all my private information. However, I do not want to do this, as this will make my private information public. Therefore, I am putting this filler. If anyone has any questions, email

Why is there a serious threat to life? Just get out at the next stop (or the last stop that you can get out before Shkiya)

would this person's brocha be any worse than that of a mechallel Shabbos beFarhesia getting an aliya? I don't know. But we say that a Mechalel Shabbos is like a non-Jew, not that a non-Jew is like a Mechalel Shabbos

Maybe you shouldn't send him to his seat, but just re-read and re-give the aliya

@NoachmiFrankfurt that's because according to technical Halacha, a non-religious Jew shouldn't be getting an Aliya. On the other hand, it's unlikely a religious Jew would discover half an hour after his aliya that he's Jewish

I found the Piskei Teshuva (10) in here where he says that to be Machmir on something the Amoraim were not is Apikorsus. Yet, Lechora, why can't we just say that I'm "hedging my bets" so to say, as a Sanhedrin could re-open any case any time and undo any previous legislation.

comment Is it forbidden to teach Torah to non-Jews on Mi Yodeya?
You're teaching anyone who comes to this website. You can ask the same question about people writing seforim (especially in non-Jewish languages, such as the Rambam)
