comment Definition of Beit Hakneset area [with respect to tachanun]
@msh10 point taken. My supposition was that there is no chiddush to say that the Ezras Noshim is considered part of the shul when ladies are davenning there. Where else should they be? Thank you Double AA.

comment Is there a source for the custom of a Baal Teshuva not to sit in shul but rather to stand?
I asked (sensitively) one person who stands for everything why he does it. He answered that he is mostly tired. Standing helps him stay awake. I wonder, is this modesty?

It's hidden in the word "etc." and implied by the fact that "his bread is considered bread of a non Jew".

Halachos for Wednesday, June 25 2008 1) Chazal say that one who keeps Shabbos is as if he has fulfilled the entire Torah. One who transgresses Shabbos is as if he has transgresed the entire Torah. One who transgresses Shabbos in public [which means that 10 people are aware that this person is a mechalel Shabbos], is considered like a non Jew for all purposes; we may not drink his wine, his bread is considered bread of a non Jew etc.
