comment What is one's purpose in life and how does one find it?
I thought the OP was referring to the Mesilas Yeshorim Chap 1 where he says, הוא שיתברר ויתאמת אצל האדם מה חובתו בעולמו

The vodka is produced by distillation (The extraction of the volatile components of a mixture by the condensation and collection of the vapors that are produced as the mixture is heated - online dictionary) of the whey mix. The whey itself should not be in the vodka. Why then should this vodka be milky?

comment How do I find answers to sensitive questions I can't ask my rabbi?
I agree with both Baby Seal and Seth J’s answers. If those strategies don’t work for you now, you might consider asking a Rav in another town. You could explain to him that for reasons of embarrassment you cannot ask it of a Rav in your own town. I had this experience on two occasions: one to do with loshon hora where telling the story even without the name of the person involved would have identified him and one in a case of advice on chinuch of children. On both occasions, I was very happy with the guidance I received.

comment Does Nivul Peh apply to writing?
@Fred Since nivul peh is more extreme than using language that is simply not lashon n'kiya and Chazal were careful to use lashon n'kiya, it follows kal vochomer that it is inappropriate to write Nivul Pe.

comment Praying in “multifaith spaces” in airports and other institutions
Take a look at the sign outside a prayer room at Manchester UK airport at 1.bp.blogspot.com/_I6Q-KiSwrKY/SywMfJrSO2I/AAAAAAAABQU/… It has a cross in top position. Is that a factor?

comment Why skip Yikum Purkan and Mi Sheberach on a weekday Yom Tov?
@DoubleAA The front page says Sidur Raschban von Salomon Schuck, Bezirksrabbiner Karczag. See hebrewbooks.org/21467. Could he be the Maharam Schik? More than this I do not know.

@joshwaxman Thank you. Please explain how you understand the use of the word malach in the possuk and how does it differ from the concept of a Sar/Malach of Am Yisrael?

comment Is it right to point out that the Chazzan omitted a brocho in his repetition of the amida?
@eramm The question was based on an actual occurrence. I judged by the redness of his face at the time he was told!
