Were condemned prisoners drugged prior to execution? I had always wondered how to translate discombobulate into Hebrew. |

Custom to refrain from eating meat at the Pesach Seder? Another custom to avoid confusion with the korban pesach is that Kedassia (kashrus authority) label their "kosher le'pesach" products "Kosher Al Pesach". (Kosher le pesach could be read as fitting to be a korban pesach!) |

Is there a custom not to eat roasted chicken at the Seder? We serve a one-pot stew (potatoes, meat, vegetables) which stays hot until you reach the point of the meal and does not require complex activities from my wife who also wants to hear the hagodo. |

Did Chazal know about China and the Chinese? and from which of Noach's sons do they hail? @DoubleAA Does your comment means that the "honours" of being the founders of the Chinese etc goes to the בְנֵי הַפִּילַגְשִׁים? |

Why omit “Av harachamim” for the four parashiyos? The differences in minhogim as to when to say and when not to say "Av harachamim" are enough to require rachamim gedolim as the congregants discuss whether or not to say it!! |

Should I only make one Berachah, or should I make one on each different food? @SethJ Yes; I've always had the worry about the centrality of bread. In the earlier times I believe everything was eaten with bread which made its centrality easier to understand. Now with potatoes and rice etc. it seems that bread is no longer is so essential. But afaik the halocho has not changed. |

Should I only make one Berachah, or should I make one on each different food? So there is no din of ikar and tofel. |
