comment Accusations against the Zohar HaKadosh:
@Double, let me reword: he states clearly that it is a holy book and everything it contains is correct (Mitpachat Sofrim, ch. 1).

@Double, R' Yakov Emden raised many difficult questions BUT did not doubt its authenticity as he writes clearly.

comment Hakaras HaTov in Halachah
The text doesn't say the Rabbi was addressing the innkeeper - it's more likely he was complimenting her to his student in a private conversation. Furthermore, the Rabbi genuinely meant what he said. No lying or misleading going on here.

According to Rashi in Sotah, this is incorrect. The Rabbi was complimenting her actions, not her appearance.

comment If shepherds are taboo to Egyptians, what do we make of them having sheep themselves?
"Egyptians worshiped shepherds like gods": very interesting. One wonders, though, why they needed to buy food. After all, even the priests in Egypt were fed by the king; all the more so, the gods themselves.

comment Why didn't Hashem call twice to Yitzchak like he did to other prophets?
Not every conversation between man and G-d was recorded in Tanach. Since according to Midrash, the addressing of Yitzchak by repeating his name did in fact occur, there isn't much of a question left.

comment Cutting through Church property to get somewhere else
If the church grounds beautify the church, it is prohibited from deriving benefit as נוי ע"ז. Otherwise, the sole problem seems to be the proximity issue. See SH"A Y"D 142.

comment Can an ex-employee steal customers?
"Almost like stealing" is a legal level of prohibition, i.e. not quite but almost stealing. This is the psak. No evasion here.
