comment Sonogram (ultrasonography) on Infant for Gender
@Matt - As far as I know, the reasoning isn't published. I heard it by word of mouth from a source I deemed reliable, but I don't feel right about mentioning the name of the posek without his approval. In my opinion, the reasoning is solid enough to stand on its own.

comment Halachick problem with tucking tzitzit into belt
It seems to me that one would have the same issue anytime his tzitzis are dangling outside, even if the strings are not tucked under his belt, because ultimately the strings are being held up by the belt (or the waistband of his trousers).

comment Can a woman delay going to the Mikvah?
@DannySchoemann - I think the inyan is "not to delay the mikvah night," which applies equally to delaying the hefsek. Do you have a source otherwise?

comment Can a woman delay going to the Mikvah?
@DannySchoemann - In any event, even if we're going with טבילה בזמנה מצוה, it's far from clear that putting off the hefsek would be acceptable, since that would be essentially pushing off the day of tevilah. The hefsek doesn't determine the day of tevilah per se; it's just a method of ascertaining reality, whether or not the flow has stopped.

@DannySchoemann - IIUC, the concept of טבילה בזמנה מצוה is not accepted as the halachah. Furthermore, all of our tevilos nowadays are anyhow שלא בזמנן, since a niddah can theoretically count from the very beginning of her flow, and a zavah can immerse even during the seventh day. (To complicated to explain more in a short comment.)

comment “Blias” in today's pots and pans
@ShmuelBrin - without a kefeila you have to assume the worst-case scenario. Once you have a kefeila who can taste the food and confirm that there is no discernible contamination, that settles the matter.

R' Moshe Shternbuch has a responsum about this very question. I don't have time to summarize it, maybe someone else can volunteer...

comment Where does the tune for birkat hamazon come from?
I assumed that it was originally composed this way, as a hybrid song / chant, to make it more interesting for the kids to sing. Judging by the tune's wide popularity and appeal over the last half century, I'd say it was quite successful in that regard!

Just curious - how exactly does one go about implementing universal changes?
