Brilliant people do complex things with the simplest possible means. People aspiring to be brilliant do the other way around then gradually trace their way back to simplicity as they progress to a higher level of knowledge. No coder loses their ability, everyday his knowledge increases even when it seems that their output decline: they don't regress, they just get bored and tired.
