as my great uncle A"H used to say for the fish+shnapps: "The fish have to swim!" (of course, this would suggest water is better for this, but as you say, there may be other motivations at work)

Wow-that is exactly what I was going to say. For better or worse, that gameboy was probably the gift that I used more than any other in my life. and almost all of those hours were spent on one game: TETRIS!

One of the B"M gifts I also use today the most is a Kehati set. I actually bought it second hand from somebody who got it for his bar mitzvah, then later upgraded to the Kehati+Bartenura set.

I also received an answer from a doctor, who said that saliva was actually very bad for cleaning a wound, as it could introduce all sorts of bacteria. So I will certainly stop that practice!
