whoever leads s'lichos should lead the rest of the day's prayers: why s'lichos? No source. I figured leaving none would be sign enough that this was just my creative thinking :). After opening the MB it seems likely that the Minhag was to avoid Machloket over who would be Shliach Tzibur. The aim was to have all the days of Slichot a Shliach Tzibur accepted by the whole community. This "Maschil" Shliach took precedence over all other Chiuvs ... I think this fits in not bad with my original answer |

whoever leads s'lichos should lead the rest of the day's prayers: why s'lichos? Looks like the need for meta.mi.yodeya.com is real. Well, we're almost there. Even the count down number is now fully spelled out! |

Help with Tosfot “v'HaAmar R. Yochanan” on Brachot 5b Barry, could you please add a link to the Sefat Emet. I looked for it on HebewBooks.org but could not find it. |

Help with Tosfot “v'HaAmar R. Yochanan” on Brachot 5b Bringing in the issue of Gilgulim does explain why the mention of Yehoshua was edited out and why the Tzlach goes to lengths to show why the edit was correct. This seems like a real Machloket. |

Chametz owned by a public company This sounds like a question for a Rav since it has immediate practical implications for you. My thought though is that even if there was just one Jewish stock holder there would be a problem. To solve this problem before Pesach the CEO could probably sell the chametz on behalf of the Jewish owners. These are just thoughts so I'm not posting an answer. |
