comment All people in world are Jews?
@Templar Judiasm is unique in its being at the same time a nationality and a religion. If you you wish to delve deeper into this issue see paragraph 95 here: shechem.org/torah/kuzari . This is from the Kuzari (see en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kuzari)

comment Taking a Shower after the Mikvah
@yydl I've heard both versions and prefer the first (from a humor point of view). Thanks for the link, but "they say" isn't really a source, which is why I didn't feel comfortable mentioning Rav Auerbach zt"l's name.

comment Asking Questions on StackOverflow on Erev Shabbos
@yydl If you ask a question in the US on Friday when it already Shabbat in Israel would you have the same problem? And, if you ask a question in Israel when it is second day Yom Tov in chul is this also the same problem? And I guess this goes for answering a question which could then cause a Jew to read and respond to you answer ...

Thanks @WAF for your comments. I'll try to find the time. I think the Rav's p'sak has to do with intent and not action. The idea being that Aliyah is usually a deep internal motion and the geographic movement is only secondary.
