comment What is the point of a hechsher on Cholov Stam?
The question could be why isn't any milk with an OU cholov yisroel? But it maybe it is.

comment The blessing for 600,000 Jews
@sethJ, that's a building code, and it only adds a couple inches. at some events, 1 person gets even less than 4 square feet.

@SethJ I don't know how together they need to be. But maybe they need to be in one specific area that's visible at once as opposed to spread out over many different streets.

comment The blessing for 600,000 Jews
@DoubleAA The view in the rishonim of 600k may be difficult, but since its discussing a city, it still wouldn't be like seeing 600k together for a bracha.

comment The blessing for 600,000 Jews
I didn't see any report that less than 600k people were there. However, they were spread out over many streets, so not sure what would qualify for the beracha. @DoubleAA 600000 isn't mentioned in the gemara, and there are different views on it, but it would probably mean in an entire area in a day, such as a large city.

comment Displaying Articles from the Temple
@SethJ, changed answer. I guess I held like the first version in the gemara initially! I'm still not sure if this would be "hana'a" though, since I assume the items won't be viewed for aesthetic pleasure.

if its getting personal benefit from hekdesh that could be a problem. (but usually people standing there are involved in service.) you can't lean on the stones of hekdesh or even benefit from their shade. see Rambam mechon-mamre.org/i/8908.htm#3

comment Why did God do nothing against the Romans that desecrated the Temple?
@JimThio historians don't know the cause of death, so it could have been some kind of "bug" in his brain.
