I studied world religions at a mainstream American college and spent some time in the Lubavitcher community in Crown Heights and the Upper West Side Carlebach community. I'm a Carlebach style, mixed-tradition semi-Hasid. My main inspiration comes from the Breslov and Chabad traditions, but I take to heart teachings from any Hashkafah (Jewish world-view), provided they strengthen my Yiddishkeit (Jewishness). I aspire to be a pulpit Rabbi.
