comment Why does the Talmud assume a woman cannot get pregnant on the first act of intercourse?
I wonder why Er did not have one act of intercourse k'Darko if he was afraid of her getting pregnant, since the first act will not get her pregnant.

comment Male tzniut: Swimwear
I don't think whatever standards of male tznius you are thinking of would apply when swimming... you don't need to have a shirt on or long shorts

No natural body of water is "watertight" and we know that some of them are kosher mikvas

Hachana does not have anything to do with muktza

Is "ground water" the same as a "spring"? It indeed does seem to be similar to a well.

The source you linked to is only discussing leaks (i.e. water flowing out of the mikva). I don't think it applies to a spring flowing into it

comment very different Pesach cleaning practices
Just want to add another "perplexing" memory for what it's worth... I once showed a rabbi a summary of what is minimally halachically necessary to do... he said "although I cannot point to anything in here which is against halacha, you cannot take this and say 'this is Pesach'". I asked, "ok then what should I do to clean for Pesach?" and he answered, "copy what your neighbors are doing". I was left wondering... for hilchos Shabbos and kashrus and every other halacha, we are supposed to follow what is written in the halaacha, but for Pesach, we copy our neigbors?

I remember reading a Breslov FAQ somewhere like: Q: Who is currently the Rebbe of Breslov. A: Rebbe Nachman
