Beracha Achronah on milk THe Nishmas Adam in Hilchos Sukah says that one can eat fruit outside of the suckah even if one was Koveia Seudah so we see that fruit is something that people make a meal out of. 98.131.138.124/articles/NA2/NishmatAbraham.OC.639.asp Al HaMichia is a form of Birkat HaMazon so just like Birkat HaMazon needs Keviat Seudah so does Al HaMichia. When a guest comes over you might sit with them over a cup of wine, cake, or fruit. Not milk. |

Asking a Rav a fake question @Dan I heard that story in the name of the Mahril Disken 1) It was a woman who brought/re-presented the cloth 2) the Mahril Disken said he did not look at the woman rather he recognized the weave of the cloth. (they didnt have packaged clothes like today) |

Matzah Shemurah on the 8th day of Pesaḥ (in the Diaspora) THe D'Rabanan here is "K'Ain D'Orita" so the rabbis had the halachic strength to give the D'Rabanan day all the quailities of a D'Orita day. הזהרו במנהג אבותיכם actually means that we should take the second day just as serious as the first and don't do things with the excuse that "it's only D'Rabanan" |

Bittul Chometz before the time Ever wonder why we do hatarat nedarim every erev Rosh Hashanah when we say at the end of the nusach "any future nedarim i shall make should be included.." I think because we may have forgotten or situations have changed we therefore need to repeat the whole Hatara. Same here if you do it early and then get some expensive scotch it's possible that the bittul would not cover it since your daat was only on what you thought you would have in the house on the 14th i.e whatever was leftover or not set aside to be sold (assumes that you forgot to sell the scotch) and not the expensive scotch. |

Why is it necessary to make a HaAdamah on Karpas? A raw onion is exempt from a bracha so you couldn't exempt the Maror with it as DoubleAA mentions. |

Chovos Halevavos vs. Mesilas Yesharim Some secular people seem to grab on to the ordered lifestyle that the Torah offers so in that case MY is a good choice. Most Mussar teachers did not learn SHaar HaYichud and Shaar HaBechina. If Kiruv is the goal you may want to consider Derech HaShem as well |
