comment Is it acceptable to put “God is Life” on a T-Shirt?
Rabbi Haskel Lookstein makes a big point of writing God and not V-Day because (I think) it's not really a name if God.

comment Why choose the words Urchatz and Rachtza for the Sedder simanim?
@msh210 no problem. I realized afterwards that the question was asking about urchatz vs another washing word, whereas the source was discussing why there is a connecting vav in urchatz but no other steps. But I think the source still stands as it discusses why the word Urchatz is used.

What's your reasoning for "clearly...." I'm a bit unclear what you're saying/why.

comment Is fasting like getting drunk?
Because fasting is like the opposite of excessive drinking. So like one makes up for the other by yom kippur maybe it's similar here

comment Is one allowed to carry an object through an opposite force on Shabbos?
Do you have reason to think this would be different than attractive magnetic force, in a scenario where the thing being moved doesn't move and attach to the magnet?

comment What is Pas Shacharis
Right -but they did have more refined bread, and less refined bread. Even though the more refined is less healthy, they considered it higher quality.

I'm saying, the more refined bread is considered "better," "higher quality" in those times. Not sure it's relevant, or maybe you knew that....just your wording confused me because of that.

In general I think "nicer" bread is considered white bread. So I'm not sure what you mean "even"...

comment Why no bracha acharona for wine drunk with a bread meal?
Incidentally I believe it's a machloket, and thus part of the reason for saying birkat hamazon over a cos.
