comment Both husband and wife lighting the Chanuka candles separately
you are obviously aware of opinions that "אשתו כגופו" or "נשים תפילות לבעליהם" etc. I think you can be more accommodating and less condescending to those opinions or people like myself who have less knowledge on the subject than you seem to have. And see Rav Melamed: ph.yhb.org.il/05-12-04 Rav levanon (footnote 7): yeshiva.org.il/midrash/shiur.asp?id=609 and Rav Beni Lau who concludes my custom - one night my wife, one night me: kipa.co.il/jew/holidays/Hanukkah/16207.html

I'm not next to any books right now, do you have a source that says that both men and women can both say a blessing?

comment Cheap Techeilet?
I feel that you are not understanding me and this discussion is futile. Furthermore I find it insulting that I take time to write an answer to a question that really doesn't fit the website's format, and give it a valid answer with various alternate solutions, only to have my answer down voted and the truthfulness of my statements questioned, only because people have a different opinion on the matter. I think you guys are really missing the point of open discussion. I'm out.

@DoubleAA you are irrationally choosing to be very literal. I obviously (and said so in the last comment) that the questions was what does he paskin, not "who is right". I think many people choose rambam because its cheap and are happy about this psak/rumor from Harel. I have also heard from him that possibly according to the rambam, any other techelet strands would be considered invalid, and thus not counted in the 8, which would leave you with incomplete tzitzit transgressing the mitzvas of tzitzit and shaatnez. But apparently the only one who paskins this besides maybe Harel is R Rappaport

we just wanted to know if the rumor about him paskining that Rambam is the way to go was right and he said no.

@SethJ I do not question your mesorah, but bear in mind that that doesn't cancel out my mesorah which is more first hadn than yours if it is only mesorah. So if you are the one who downgraded my answer I suggest you re-evaluate. You may claim that my advice is odd, but you are welcome to pok chazei ma ama davar. I know first hand that people were doing this in Gush, Otniel, and Kiryat shemonah when I was in Yeshivah. You are downright wrong about the Rambam pricing, I know because I have bought it many times. And you can see the pricing on the website i cite below.

Exactly, that he has not given a psak that rambam is halacha. Didn't ask him what was right as we weren't looking for a psak.

comment Can a deep-cover agent on active assignment violate kashrut to blend in with targets?
I saw an article (I think in Techumin by I think Rav Bakshi Doron) stating that the protection of the state of Israel can be considered pikuch nefesh for Am Yisrael and therefor allows many torah violations there Also, I once heard from Rav Aviner's (first hand) that he allowed a religious woman working for the Mosad to preform sexual acts for the sake of espionage presumably for the same reasons. I personally do not think one may take such liberties in psika for other countries in which Jews should not be living, specifically since many opinions don't hold that pikuach nefesh holds for goyim.

comment Tashlumin for a missing bracha - What if one forgot “veten tal omatar” on friday mincha
rule is a bad choice of words. I didn't find that question when I asked this one. How would one ask a "subset question"?
