@ray Does Shaar Yichud of Chovos assert that its method was Avraham's?

This makes me wonder what the Jewish position on Heliocentrism is . . .

comment What method of reasoning did Abraham use to reach Enlightenment?
Not asking about any of those 'isms', did Abraham go through, analyze and discard each one of them before arriving at Judaism? I know he considered solatry and lunalatry from the sources I cited. But I suppose he must have started with polytheism being born into a polytheistic household and a polytheistic society.

comment How did Avraham discover that God exists?
When you say 'Avraham deduces' do you mean that colloquially? Or in the formal sense: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deductive_reasoning ?

@Danno did Monica Cellio really mean deduction: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deductive_reasoning ?

@MonicaCellio There seems to be some overlap, but that's asking about events, I'm asking about methods . . . Induction? Deduction? Proof by contradiction? Proof by contrapositive? I'm not wondering if Avraham went to a field to meditate when he was a child. I'm asking what specifically was his meditative process.

comment Are there leviyim in the Beta Israel Community?
I see. So it's sort of like an Aaronic rather than Mosaic Semikhah? Is there an argument that the priesthood was not always hereditary(I believe I once heard such a thing) or is it just unknown?

What do you mean by "do claim priesthood from the Aaronic lineage, although it is not a hereditary title" How can it be Aaronic but not hereditary?

Thank you. This is informative, but I don't know that I can accept it as authoritative. Is there no one from the Beta Israel community on Mi Yodeya?

comment Is there any tradition of any Jews leaving Mitzrayim before the Exodus
Is this considered to be the only time many(or any) Bene Yisrael left Egypt before Moshe? If so I will accept.

comment What is the difference between Beta Israel and Beta Avraham
A more recent article: america.aljazeera.com/articles/2015/8/29/… "There are 14 synagogues hidden in caves and forests in Ethiopia, he said. Each is led by a community leader who holds sway over the politics and beliefs of the congregation."

Can anyone comment on what 'officially' qualifies something as a siddur?
