comment How does Judaism regard homeschooling?
@Ze'evFelsen I agree that both versions could bear the same meanings (letters בכלם often replace each other), but nonetheless that's the version in my personal Talmud (I just can't link to it here until Internet Of Things will make significant progress :) )

@Ze'evFelsen very relevant! Thanks. (By the way, it's mi'makom rather than b'makom (see here)).

comment Why is it customary for Jews to grow beards?
@msh210 If so it's called in English then be it. In Hebrew, OTOH, I humbly disagree with Wikipedia that translates Isralite as בן ישראל. It's explicit that an Israelite is also called ישראלי, as in בן האשה הישראלית. And there are well many examples in Orthodox Jewish literature for that, and it's also used in everyday Hebrew in Israel (I should know...).

comment Why is the seder “beseder” (in order)?
Well, the different seder parts have a nice rhyming: Kadesh uRchatz - Karpas Yachatz, Magid Rachtza - Motzi Matza etc.

comment Is it a mitzvah to save someone from execution by Beth Din?
@RabbiMichaelTzadok see Rambam Shoftim 15:1: אם מת בו יצא ואם לאו רגימתו בכל ישראל שנאמר יד העדים תהיה בו בראשונה להמיתו ויד כל העם באחרונה

@RabbiMichaelTzadok read the seifa of the verse (I cited it wholly): ויד כל-העם, באחרונה. That explicitly relates those other people.

comment Is it a mitzvah to save someone from execution by Beth Din?
If you think I should bring an explicit source for this being not-a-mitzva or a felony - I think that the stark thought, the hava amina, that one should "save" an evicted person's life from a lawful death sentence, is so illogical that there isn't necessariliy such a source.

And the second proof is from the Braita in Sanhedrin.
