comment Is one allowed to smoke Marijuana?
"After all the explanations of why it is forbidden". There is just ONE explanation that is from R.Feinstein which I have the right to not agree with him and mainly when big part of his arguments are invalid in this case. There is transparent halachot regarding shabbat maybe because is you can define what is forbiden and what is not clearly

@Maimonist a lot of things to said but I will keep the focus in the discussion here, so: can you mention which halacha prohibits the recreational use of drugs and alcohol? And which halacha explains what is inside the drugs category?

@DoubleAA from where do you extract the Cosmological proof of Aristotle? And, from what I understand of your description, I think that even Rambam disagree with this proof

@Loewian the chovot halevavot clearly divides the chapters. While in the first chapter he try to prove Gd existence, in the gate of the verification he writes ideas for analyzing daily events and show how we can see Gd in everything. The Teleological proof is well described.

If your son like blonds probably in the future he will marry a blond woman and bigger chances that you will have blond children. Hmmm...you cant know if your thoughts influence your child appearance or not.

comment How did Avraham discover that God exists?
Did not get any answer here... "No doubt, tradition played an important part of Abram's first obedient response to God's command " and "God would not have appeared to Abram had he not been both a believer in God and a sensible believer at that". My question is how he was a believer.

comment How can we explain the growth of Israelite population in Egypt?
@DoubleAA . Already made the changes in the question. But still, the question remains. Even in the simple pshat, 600.000/70= is like in 200 years you have already 8.500 grand-grandsons, knowing that also in the simple pshat Pharao wanted to kill every boy. And the family of Moshe was with just 3 people.

comment Do religious Jews generally believe the serpent of Gan Eden was Satan?
@avi What is the source of this explanation? Really interesting... "The story of Gan Eden happened in the spiritual realm, and then the human spirit was exiled to earth into the bodies of the nephilim that were at that time animals, and became human"
