comment May one learn / talk after Yishtabach when waiting for the Chazan to start Birchos Krias Shema?
He mentions giving Tzedaka, not collecting. Although perhaps one can collect without talking.

Looking into a Sefer is not the same as speaking.

comment Why don't we say what the Yerushalmi says to say during Bircat Kohanim?
Do we always do like the Yerushalmi when there is no dispute?

Never seen one. However some of the Tikun L'Korims have the weekly Haftaros in them too.

comment Which Chasidic group departed the least from Ashkenazi minhag and nusach?
@Mike: Yeshiva Rabeinu Chaim Berlin Daven's Ashkenaz and follows Minhag HaGra. They do not say Boruch Hashem L'Olam. I was at a Ashkenaz Minyan in Memphis which follows Minhag HaGra. They also did not say Boruch Hashem L'Olam.

comment How did the plague of blood work?
Regarding #3 - Even though the Jews were selling the water there was still many Jews selling it. The laws of supply and demand ensured that the Egyptians did not go bankrupt at that point.

comment How did the plague of blood work?
I am answering as a comment as I have no source. Regarding question #1 - Perhaps it was revealed through trial and error. When the Egyptian who was desperate for water and could not get it any way he tried, perhaps in jest a Jewish fellow said "you want water, pay for it". Then he paid and got water. The news spread like wildfire and before long all the Egyptians knew that the only way to attain water was by paying for it. Regarding #2 - The same water that was blood for the Egyptian was water for the Jews. Therefore the Jews had an unlimited supply to sell.

Also I do not see why it matters whether it is a major Chassidic group or if it is a private individual?

comment Deception to defeat an agenda
"Is such an agenda halachically acceptable?" is a different question than "Is one allowed to knowingly deceive the daycare to ensure a spot?" It can be that the agenda is unacceptable and you still may not be allowed to knowingly deceive. Or it can be that the agenda is acceptable and you still may be allowed to deceive. Your question truly requires clarification.

How is the commitment done? In writing? Your word? How can anyone commit to things that are beyond their control? Suppose one moves to a different city? Suppose the child requires remedial tutoring and the school can not help this child?
