@DoubleAA: The Be'er Hataiv does not say what happens if he says it prior to three days. Although I do agree with you that most likely he would issue a ruling as you say. I would accept an answer that would include a source saying that is one makes Kiddush levana prior to the three days, one does not have to repeat it. I am upvoting your answer, however can not accept yet.
