comment Age of Universe and Shabbat
because time moves differently now. our 24 hours is equivalent to billions of years back then
5h
comment Age of Universe and Shabbat
it is six 24 hour days spanning billions of years. rules of time were different then. thats what he says.

comment Age of Universe and Shabbat
@DoubleAA and your comment is relevant? i;m trying to show that it is plausible, we also find kain and hevel born and grown up in the sixth day for example.

comment Age of Universe and Shabbat

comment Should observant Jews travel to areas that are centres for Avodah Zarah (Idol worship)?
for what purpose? if one has no choice then it's ok like the biblical patriarchs who went to egypt for food.

comment Is it asur to listen to a parrot which is a perfect mimic of a woman singing?
@DoubleAA fair point. but the rabbis tend to not decree on remote cases.

comment Why does belief in Judaism require irrationality?
judaism.stackexchange.com/questions/47487/… "jewish-centric perspective"? are you asking according to the view that Judaism is true or that Judaism is false? if the former, then I believe your question has been answered.

comment Why does belief in Judaism require irrationality?
@user6641 to summarize I think your assumption is incorrect. the precepts of judaism all have a rational explanation to a great extent. though we cannot fully understand anything just like we cannot fully understand any of His divine wisdom such as a leaf or even a cell despite that we can delve quite deeply. the reason we cannot fully understand it is not because it is irrational but rather because the depth of wisdom is infinite

comment Does Judaism recognize other religions?

@user6641 serving God is a rational duty for all of humanity as explained at length in chovos halevavos gate 3 and further God revealed to all of humanity the truth of His prophet (Moses) and Torah through unmistakable open miracles. cant get more rational than that and guess what, nobody cared - not even to fulfill the 7 mitzvot bnei noach

comment Why does belief in Judaism require irrationality?
@user6641 I dont see anything irrational of the points yo brought up by the way. for example, the reason so few human beings serve Gd is simply because they chose not to. the torah was offered to all the nations b4 being given to the jews. and perhaps if Gd revealed more of Himself, the balance of free will would not be optimal
