comment Why did God reveal himself only before there were recording devices?
@DoubleAA the point is all public miracles God does only if there is a great necessity. perhaps the necessity here was that Yehoshua was going to divide the land of Israel for the tribes therefore there had to be no doubt that God was behind him. I'll leave it up to you. sometimes, God will do for a single person like saving Avraham from Ur Kasdim because of the simple necessity to keep him alive.

comment Significance of man relative to God
ok, but not something infinitely insignificant relative to you

comment In Judaism, does God have a body?
see the 10th chapter of the shaar yichud from chovos halevavos which specifically adresses this

comment What is a person's consciousness in the next world?
in some ways it is clearer consciousness as this statement attributed to the vilna gaon shows dafyomireview.com/article.php?docid=209

comment Why did God reveal himself only before there were recording devices?
I added the source for that statement. which public miracles are you referring to that were not connected to validating Moshe Rabeinu?

comment Significance of man relative to God
point it is you wouldnt deem it worthy of your attention

comment Why did God reveal himself only before there were recording devices?
those were part of the matan torah. since they were to show that Moshe was elected by God, and his appointment of Aharon was also by God ,something the nation was questioning. If Moshe was a false prophet, ch'v then the torah would also be invalid.

wouldn't this defeat free will?

comment Ten Commandments - which one is the greatest?
vilna gaon says in even shlema that the last one "dont covet" includes all the other nine, which include the whole torah. histapkus, not to worry about tomorow is the entire torah

comment Do non-jews have soul mates?
chapter 3 in shaar bitachon says: He watches over and directs the lives of all men, He does not abandon any of them (from bestowing good or benefiting them according to their needs - Pas Lechem commentary). implies yes.

It says in the Zohar parsha bereishis (forget the exact place but definitely there) that one who makes chidushim in torah creates worlds.

comment the four foundations - fire, wind, water, earth
@DoubleAA if this originates from Aristotle then what is it doing in the sefer yetzira which some attribute to Avraham who lived before Aritstotle?

Some things are possible in mathematics, but are nevertheless impossible in reality. This is because mathematics is pure logic and logic is not truth. Logic is merely a tool which we use to investigate topics, but anything it has to say on the subject are from premisses which we supply. So what is logically possible depends on the premisses we adopt. If, for example, we start with the premise that an infinite set of numbers is reasonable than mathematics can take this and work with it logically, despite that the premise is impossible in actuality. Hawking is refuting from math not actuality.

comment Is it considered Pikuach Nefesh if you break Shomer Negiah to give someone emotional comfort?
it does nevertheless illustrate the gravity with which chazal took the subject of arayos even in the presence of pikuach nefesh

comment Better for Man to Not have Been Created
@DoubleAA found a source for you. The Shaar Bitachon ch.2 factor #7 - (7) That the person he trusts is absolutely generous and kind to those deserving and to those who are not deserving, and that his generosity and kindness is continuous, never ending and without interruption. (Tov Halevanon commentary: the most possible extreme of generosity and kindness... see there)
