@MonicaCellio just to finish the thought: i definitely don't fell that other people should take my 'word' for something i say, at the same time i feel that it is important to let people bring up points (which other users can validate/invalidate). i'm not a member of 'math' but i am on stackoverflow and there are many answers that are not 'testable' rather opinions and they are very accepted

@DoubleAA thanks for explaining. to clarify: you are saying that this site is (a bit) different than other SE sites, in that if a source is not provided it is ok to downvote. if so i would suggest the faq be updated specifically this quote: "Any answer that gets the asker going in the right direction is helpful, but do try to mention any limitations, assumptions or simplifications in your answer. Brevity is acceptable, but fuller explanations are better." this is found in: judaism.stackexchange.com/questions/how-to-answer

@DoubleAA thanks for bringing up some really good points! at the same time i have a few assumptions about this site (please correct me if i'm wrong: 1) similar to other SE an answer constitutes anything that helps the questioner move forward on the subject - sometimes it is by offering perspective, and sometimes its by actually showing a reference to a source 2) similar to other SE sites questions are downvoted only if they are either a) wrong b) off topic 3) similar to other SE sites users help each other out. i'm therefore confused about why you feel a downvote is in order

@TamirEvan 1) i'm sorry for offending you, i was merely making an observation about how one should deal with this kind of situation - if you don't like this perspective i'm fine with that 2) due to time constraints i don't usually place sources in my answers (and i only answer without a source if no one else has brought up my perspective on it) 3) you can also do it in 30 seconds just click the 'shaul' tag and read the first question that comes up - feel free to use this shortcut anytime :) 4) i didn't want a blanket statement to be taken out of context hence the 'under certain circumstances)

comment Jewish concept of angels
@Monica Cellio there are two groups of angels (in this discussion) one group has absolutely no will (they are like pre-programmed robots) the other group does have free will (within certain paramaters) but not anywhere near what us humans have. so in short yes it was by divine command
