Morid HaGeshem or Morid HaGoshem See Shu”t Teshuvos V’Hanhagos vol. 1, 81 w& vol 2, 58 who cites like you claim that the pronouncing of the word as “Gashem” was introduced by Maskilim, Rav Sternbuch puts this notion to rest, quoting earlier sources that also said “Gashem” (even though he personally argues). |

Fish eaten with milk? i think this above answer is based on rabbi spitz's halacha column. i can tell you from past experience, if the original sources aren't listed in the article, just email the good rabbi and he will send you them - he most definitely has them! - yspitz@ohr.edu |

How much does one have to eat to become Fleishigs? to avi - that is an incorrect assumption - any small amount of actual eating would make one fleishig - the shulchan aruch rules even chewing and spitting out would enough to mandate waiting 6 hours. for fuller details see my answer below. |

Technological innovations and halacha i think you misunderstood the issue - the machmirim here are referring to when one can see something but is not actually discernable as a bug - if you can see it with a microscope then one should be machmir (many dispute this though). but almost no one holds if one can't see anything w/o use of microscope - it is not considered to exist!! see this thorough article -ohr.edu/this_week/insights_into_halacha/5043 |

Separate Ketchup Bottles yknow, although m'din one is not required as our salt shakers are closed, it would still be recommended. i have a friend who decided that it was too big of a chumra - until his 6yr old kid, while salting the cholent dropped the whole salt shaker in! guess what - now he has separate ones! |
