comment Google says it is the Jewish Year 5774. The wiki says Judaism is 3000 years old. How is this discrepancy reconciled?
I don't understand your numbers or your answer. Care to clarify?

comment Marriage and Menstruation
@Bobo If you ask something more than a yes/no question, you will likely get an answer that more directly answers your concerns. Since we're not sure what you want to know, you will likely get answers that leave something useful out.

The short answer is that yes, many observant Jews do this. Is that sufficient to answer your question?

comment Why can an Eruv be made in cities nowadays?
Why does the legislation against carrying imply that people didn't carry? I'd expect it to imply the opposite!

@NoachmiFrankfurt Might want to add that to the question, then

comment Is it permissible to write the English/secular date?
Jewish month names are based on the names of Babylonian gods. Why is that better than Roman gods?

comment Can a Jewish Business Refuse to Serve Certain Customers?
I think doing business with idolators is much more likely to be forbidden than with people who are gay.

comment How to “honor thy father and mother” when publicly addressing a parent's sexism?
If you can explain why you have to say something publicly, it might help your question.

comment Is Buddhism Avodah Zarah?
You probably need to specify the type of Buddhism you mean to get a useful answer, and to explain it a bit.

comment What are some examples of chazal making a midrash about the way a letter looks?
Are you asking about the way letters look in general (like the current answers), or the way they are written in a particular place in Tanakh (like the example in the question)?

comment Electronic dance music (EDM)
@sam That wasn't an answer to the OP's question. It was an answer to @DanF's question, [H]ow would being a DJ at a mixed dance affair be any different than being a regular guest?

comment Electronic dance music (EDM)
@DanF It differs because the DJ is there for parnassa

comment Placing a stumbling block before someone trying to take advantage of me?
I don't think this question has anything to do with "who you are" or privacy, but about turning CAPTCHA results into profit. ((On privacy, but off-topic here, let me plug Duck Duck Go... Read why at donttrack.us))

comment Is a Sfardi ש incorrect according to this Gemara?
It's midrash.... We don't get halakha from midrash. And certainly not so tangential a midrash!

comment Placing a stumbling block before someone trying to take advantage of me?
To clear a misconception about this case in particular, Google does not rely on single answers but rather aggregates a good amount of data. Once they have a "generally agreed-upon" answer, they do not accept wrong answers for that image.

comment Placing a stumbling block before someone trying to take advantage of me?
Any answer here will have to explain what "lying" means in a halakhic sense.
