comment What if, when the Kohanim washing their hands, less than ten remain?
@DoubleAA never thought about that.

@DoubleAA I've never seen a community that duchans which doesn't have that custom :) After kedusha, there's often an announcement made like, "Kohanim and Leviim, please prepare for duchaning."

I thought once you started any given part of the service with a minyan, you continue as if there is a minyan. E.g., Torah reading, Barchu, etc.

comment Concerning the time when Esther must be read
"An the addition is not strange see Rashi." - what do you mean by that? The addition is not in Rashi, but in your translation.

comment Concerning the time when Esther must be read
Rashi says, "לא פחות ולא יותר - לא פחות מי"א ולא יותר מט"ו"... not that it wasn't obvious. And I agree with what's implied by @Scimonster - the "sometimes" is a strange addition to the translation.

comment scientific transliteration - spelling - pesah vs pesach? (who spells it pessah?)
I know plenty of Ashkenazi people named Pesach

What do you mean "scientific"?

@user6641 I doubt you'll find anyone who considers our task to already be a closed book.

I don't really understand the question. Is Sirius a failure in comparison to the Sun because we're further from it? Is it a failure of a star in and of itself?

comment Heter to own Sefarim
After reading this through a few times, I found the question you're asking, but it's far from clear. I think you're asking what the person means by "the heter to own sefarim." If you can figure out a way to ask that without a back story, it would be easier to answer (and not to get off-topic answers like the one so far).

comment Why didn't Hashem call twice to Yitzchak like he did to other prophets?
I'd love an answer along the lines of Yitzhak as din / gevurah here. I wonder if anyone speaks to/can speak to that.

comment Where to get etrogim in the US after Sukkot
I've seen citrons for sale. Apparently they are used in Christmas fruit cakes. Also, Buddha's hand smells the same and I assume it tastes the same, too. It's easier to find in grocery stores.

@DoubleAA are there cases where we tell people to make "asher kidishanu bamitzvotav" brachot when they are not obligated?
