Vacuuming during the Nine Days Bimchilas kvod hoRav Shmuel, laundering during/for the 9 days has nothing to do with the m'leches shabbos. A proof to this is that laundering in Bavel with plain water, a melacha d'oraisa on shabbos, was permitted during the period of mourning because it didn't clean well. There was no blanket gezeira on cleaning. It depends on the process. |

What are the opinions regarding eating small-bits-at-a-time (“leshiurin”) on Tisha B'Av when necessary? Retracting the word machlokes |

Vacuuming during the Nine Days IMHO, that is an illogical comparison. Would you wear your dirty laundry after vacuuming it? Try clarifying the issue with the original Posek. |

Shave/Haircuts during the 3 weeks Great answers. The 1st can be found in the commentaries to Rema 551:1. Most permit haircuts until the week of Tisha B'Av since that day is their Yom Tov. This extends to a Chasan/Kalla during Sheva Brachos. The Magen Avraham allows haircuts for Shabbos even during the week of T"B. The Chasam Sofer limits this to where mourning can still be detected (shaving for those who are clean-shaven). The 2nd is a case of Tokfo Aveilav. The Dagul Mervava permits even after R"Ch (until week of) if his Shloshim ended then. Any idea why not 17 Tamuz? The 3rd is an example of non-simcha cutting. |

Kibus (Laundry) During the Nine Days Giving it to a gentile is because of minhag. I don't know what Chazal would say about washing machines. I'm just saying that it's not a custom without reason. |

Shishim - mi yodeya? The source of 60 is the z'roah b'sheilah (Chulin 98a). Rashi holds the Torah holds firm at 1/60, more is asur, 1/60 and less is mutar (but, like Shalom said, Chazal assured if it's nosen ta'am even though it's residual taste). Tos'fos holds that more than 1/60 is also mutar if it's not nosen taam. 1/60 is the maximum ratio. |

Teiku VS. Kashya It seems that a double Teyuvta would be stronger than a single one. How would you learn pshat in the above mentioned Rashi? |
