comment Can an Alien convert to Judaism?
And to whomever wanted to close this as not a real question: can you explain the reason? What's not clear about it?

comment Can an Alien convert to Judaism?
@SethJ Actually not. According to that post I linked to the probability of there being an SE-worthy answer is actually 0. Whether a question is deemed too localized should have nothing to do with the probability of it happening. Honda's park in front of houses all the time, and there might be a good reason for it too. But the question isn't good because it's too localized.

@ba Don't know who Fido the dog is, but Marvin the Martian can talk...

comment Can an Alien convert to Judaism?
@SethJ Because the probability of it happening is more than 0. That's all. And as far as I can tell it's a legitimate question much the same any other question is...

@SethJ I think you may want to have a look at: meta.skeptics.stackexchange.com/questions/536/…

@HodofHod Ah, I missed that emphasis. Either way, the conversation does stand -- a proper answer would only be if there's absolutely no room for doubt.

comment Can an Alien convert to Judaism?
@HodofHod That's correct. Once you take that as a given the question doesn't start. [I would, however, accept an answer if it emerges that all Rabbis agreed there was no life -- since if true, that would be an actual answer]

comment How does a son call up his father for an Aliyah?
@GershonGold "accept Double AAs answer as the correct one" - please note - accepting an answer has absolutely nothing to do with correctness. It merely indicates which answer is the most helpful to the asker...

comment When to say Tefillas Haderech on an airplane?
Either way: this sounds like a comment on the original question. After all, if one does have fear, you would agree that Tefillas Haderech is necessary.

comment When to say Tefillas Haderech on an airplane?
Not sure where you get "most", but I personally feel a greater fear of flying than say taking a 5-hour road trip. I would imagine many others would have the same.

comment Why is hair sometimes considered *erva* (nakedness) but sometimes not?
Okay. But then why do married women need to cover their hair (and not single girls)?

comment Why is hair sometimes considered *erva* (nakedness) but sometimes not?
I don't see how this answers why married is different than single

@MonicaCellio But that doesn't make it a duplicate question.
